It’s nice to bring while waiting for the sun to go down!įor the best time, do not plan to sit in your car, unless you have a cool convertible! Everyone around us had a truck with an air mattress in the bed and tons of pillows! We brought our camp type chairs and our new Air Couch which everyone fought over! We ended up taking turns, and it’s really a great way to watch a movie!Īt the concession area, there is a fun playground and shaded picnic tables!Īfter the sun goes down, this area is lit up! I usually bring some type of shade to hang out under until the sun goes down, but my car could only hold so much for our trip, and it didn’t make the final cut.

Years of going to the Drive In have taught me a few things, and for me, I’m a big believer that the Drive In isn’t just a movie, it’s an entire experience! I always get there early to get a great parking space, plus there are usually no lines at the concession area!Īrriving early means bringing things for the kids to do, so I always pack a football, some bubbles and maybe even a game! The Stars and Stripes Drive In is located just a few minutes from the River Attractions in New Braunfels!

I’m a huge Drive In Movie fan! Drive In Movie Theaters are my favorite way to watch a movie! And I love summer evenings, after the sun goes down and the moon is just lifting above the horizon, offering a sky full of stars! The wind begins to pick up, giving a nice breeze to the evening and it’s just my favorite time of the year! I was not financially compensated for this post and all opinions are, as always, my own, plus my kids! Thanks to Stars and Stripes Drive In for inviting us out to visit during our recent stay in New Braunfels, and providing admission for myself and my family. The Stars and Stripes Drive In is a terrific way to end a wonderful day on the river in New Braunfels! We were exhausted after a day playing on the Comal River, and I couldn’t wait to relax under the stars and watch a movie!

Turn right on Kroesche and your destination is on the right.There’s no better way to end a day floating the river than followed by an evening watching a movie under the stars! Continue south to I-35 until Kohlenberg Road. Take Ranch Road 12 heading south until you reach I-35.
